When Heitor Villa-Lobos was born, a distinguished group of the city of Rio de Janeiro was enthusiastic about the Italian operas, concertos by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and everything else that came from Europe, ignoring the richness of Brazilian popular music.When young, restless for something new and already in love with popular music, plunged into the midst of whiners locals and then began a series of trips through the interior ofNorth and Northeast of the country, its folklore researching and collecting folk songs.
